VLADIMIR JABOTINSKY (1880 - 1940) Militant Zionist and advocate of Jewish self-defense against pogroms in Russia, formed the first Jewish self-defense unit in Palestine, founded the Zionist Revisionist organization which advocated large-scale Jewish immigration into Palestine and the creation of a Jewish state. Attractive D.S. "Vladimir Jabotinsky" as Vice President of the Judea Insurance Co., 4pp. folio, Jerusalem, June 5, 1929, a life insurance policy printed in English and Hebrew issued to Schlomo Zeira of Haifa and bearing a pastoral view of the Palestinian countryside. Folds, some slight offsetting from seal at bottom with rough bottom margin, else very good. Later in 1929 Jabotinsky left Palestine to attend the 16th Zionist Congress in Zurich, and was refused by the British to return to Palestine due to his revolutionary activities.
