My Bids

This glossary explains the status types in your bid history:

Accepted: Your bid was presented to the auctioneer and accepted.

Winner: The auctioneer accepted your bid, and you are the winning bidder.

Submitted, Not Accepted: Your bid was presented to the auctioneer, but it was not accepted. The auctioneer has sole discretion to accept a simultaneous bid from any of several sources, including the saleroom floor, the telephone, the Internet, and absentee bids left with the house.

Not Submitted: Geography: Your bid was not submitted because you are in a country or state excluded from bidding by the auction house.

Not Submitted: Bid Limit: Your bid was not submitted because it would have exceeded your bid limit or it was above your maximum absentee bid amount.

Canceled: Your bid was accepted by mistake and canceled by the Internet clerk.

Absentee Push: If the auction house has absentee bidding, another bidder left an absentee bid greater than or equal to your live bid. Because the absentee bidder placed a bid before you did, his bid was submitted to the auctioneer.

Please note that auctioneers can’t tell if Live bidders are live or absentee, nor do they know what time absentee bids were placed. Auctioneers simply know there’s a Live bid.
