SAN FRANCISCO EARTHQUAKE PHOTO ALBUM
A fascinating approx. 100pp. 8vo. photograph album bearing original photographs of the devastation following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. Eleven photographs offer scenes of destruction, refugees, etc., including tent cities, an utterly destroyed mansion, a collapsed block of houses, a "street oven", a burnt-out block of houses, ruins of an Episcopal church, and a photo of the "Ideal Cafe", a tent with a bench in front serving meals on the street in May, 1906. There are also nine images of the "McKinley Parade" in Los Angeles (we were unable to locate the President, if he was alive and present, four images of an ostrich farm in Pasadena, etc. Binding is loose, photos are fine.
