(1753 - 1831) Revolutionary War officer, aide to Benedict Arnold and appointed by Washington to be Secretary for Continental Army records. A.L.S. 1p., folio, New York City, Dec.18, 1809, a request to New York official and friend Nicholas Fish that he consider Dr. Abraham Brower for a physician position in New York, in part: "...The subject is an appointment as physician...I understand that Abraham Brower son of the late Jeremiah Brower ... he is now an apothecary & is respected as a very competent physician...". Boldly signed, moderate folds and toning, else very good.
