Accompanied by a letter from Lee's direct descendant indicating how Col. Lee had told his family that these items had originated from Hitler's train, had been shipped home by him, and had remained in Lee's family ever since. Hitler's private train, code named "Amerika", consisted of a locomotive (later two), two armored antiaircraft cars, two baggage cars, Hitler's pullman, conference car with communications, escort car for 22 SS security soldiers, two dining cars, two sleeping cars for entourage, a bath car, three cars for personnel and press, and power-engine cars.
