MARTIN LUTHER KING "MARCH ON WASHINGTON" ORIGINAL PHOTOS
Lot of five original Polaroid photos from the Aug. 28, 1963 "March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom" during which Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his memorable "I Have a Dream" speech before the Lincoln Memorial. The photos are each 4 1/4" x 3 1/2", three depicting marchers holding hands with an unknown man prominent in two images, another photo shows a crowd swarming a car, and the last shows a large crowd descending the stairs from the Lincoln Memorial to the podium as multiple photographers direct their cameras to the center of the group. A woman resembling Coretta Scott King may be present within the group, Rev. King is more difficult to locate. Very good. Also included: three paperback publications, each about 30pp. 8vo.: Why Race Riots?, 1944; and two Socialist Party publications ca.1970: Malcolm X The Man and His Ideas and Malcolm X Talks to Young People.
