Description:

Jimi Hendrix Experience 1968 Lewiston Concert Poster
An exceedingly rare poster from the lengthy, three-month winter '68 tour is this cardboard gem advertising the appearance of "England's Underground Sensation," the Jimi Hendrix Experience, at the Armory in Lewiston, Maine, on March 16th. Before the Experience took the stage at 10:00 pm, the Lewiston crowd was entertained by Soft Machine, Hanseatic League, and Lewiston's own Terry & The Telstars. The Experience performed several songs from their sophomore effort, "Axis: Bold As Love," which was released two months earlier. Employing the Jimi Hendrix Experience logo seen on the cover of the band's 1967 debut album, "Are You Experienced?" our inquiries confirm no more than three of these Lewiston posters are known to the collecting community.
