(1911 - 1967) Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Rare A.D.S. 1p. 16mo., [n.p., n.d.], a handwritten admittance ticket written on the back of his card from his Dallas nightclub, The Carousel Club. In full: "Admit party Vegas Club Jack Ruby." On the verso, the card reads: "Dallas only continuous floor show...Offering Sophisticated, Risque, Provocative, Delightful, Entertainment Your host: JACK RUBY" The Carousel Club was Ruby's best-known strip club, and was frequented by many Dallas policemen. Handsomely presented in dark blue linen with gold fillets, a black and brass biographical plaque and a 5" x 7" b/w image of Ruby shooting Oswald, all set into a dark wood carved frame (corner chipped).
