JACK RUBY
(1911 - 1967) Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. A.L.S., 1p., oblong 12mo., Dallas, January 7, 1964, a thank you note to Grace Jeffery of Honolulu. In part: "...Thank you so much for your beautiful Christmas card, and may God Bless you and yours for thinking of me at this time. Wishing you the best of everything in the year '64'..." Boldly signed, "Jack Ruby" in pencil. Included is the transmittal cover, addressed by Ruby, also in pencil. Ruby writes the return address as, "505 Main St, Dallas, Texas," omitting both his name and the location the Dallas City Jail. Fine.
