A collection of three pieces including EDWARD HATCH (1832 - 1889) war-date A.L.S. 1p. 4to., "Near Athens Ala." Jan 7, 1865 to Gen. N. B. Baker recommending "to your favorable notice Major John Morris Young of the 5th Iowa cavalry. If the vacancy of colonel occurs in the Regiment, I am satisfied it would be to the interest of the service an that of the Regiment to give Major Young the appointment..."; ISAAC ISRAEL HAYES A.L.S. 1pl 8vo., New York, Oct. 26 [n.y.] arranging a lecture; WILLIAM E. 'GRUMBLE' JONES A.L.S. 1p. 4to., Ringgold Barracks, Tx., Sept. 27, 1853: "...I asked no explanation. Your refusal of an apology is a sufficient commentary on your sense of justice & honor. I already know more of you than I wish to know of an associate or even acquaintance." Together, three pieces in very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
