A nice group of ten Civil War pieces, many war-date and including Confederate correspondence, includes: MOSES HANNIBAL WRIGHT (1836-1886), built many fortifications around Atlanta. A.L.S. Augusta, Ga. Sept. 12, 1864, to a colonel recommending a gentleman; S. M. SIMPSON, A.L.S. to Isaac Shelby, Lynchburg, Dec. 13, 1864, regarding provisions; HENRY E. YOUNG (1831-?) Judge advocate-general of the Army of Northern Virginia and aide to Robert E. Lee. Post-war A.L.S. Charleston, June 2, 1891 regarding a testimony; JOHN C. HASKEL, Confederate Lt. Col., 1st So. Carolina Artillery. Post-war A.L.S., Columbia, SC, June 5, 1886, ordering a trip for "...my two little boys and their attendant a colored boy..."; JAMES DANIEL WADDELL (1832-1881), Confederate soldier in the 20th Ga. and lawyer. A.L.S. Richmond, Nov. 4, 1864, to Thomas Severen making an acquaintance; FLETCHER HARRIS ARCHER (1817-1902) Confederate soldier in the 3rd Va. Infy. A.L.S. Dec. 30, 1861 to Asst. Adjt. Genl. William J. Saunders requesting a leave of absence; J. G. RICHARDSON (?), A.L.S. Natchitoches, La. Jan. 23, 1864, to F. P. Stubbs regarding an appointment, etc.; ARCHIBALD THOMPSON MACINTYRE, Representative of Ga. and EDWARD ISAAC GOLLADAY, Representative of Tenn., their signatures on a small sheet; GLENN EDWARD DAVID, private trooper under Wade Hampton, a check as Sheriff, Apr. 5, 1897, ordering payment of $38.92 to B. G. O'Meale; and BENJAMIN H. HILL, Senator of Ga., bold signature on a small card. Overall very good condition, ten pieces.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
