BILL GRAHAM
(1931-1991) American concert promoter and impresario. Ran the legendary Fillmore ballrooms in San Francisco and New York and patron of such legendary acts as The Grateful Dead and the Jefferson Airplane. T.L.S. 1p. 4to.on ornate Jefferson Airplane letterhead, San Francisco, Nov. 2, 1967 to his attorney, in part: "...[is] the enclosed is all right to fill out...". Marginal wear, envelope stapled to verso, usual folds, otherwise very good. Offered together with an excellent (and apparently quite rare) paperbound book, Live at Fillmore (New York: Warner, [n.y.]), featuring sheet music from various artists who had performed at the storied venue including Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Janis Joplin Van Morris, The Band, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Crosby Stills and Nash and Leon Russell together with superb color reproductions of some of the better posters commissioned by Graham.
