(BILL GRAHAM)
A superb archive relative to the registration of the trademark for Bill Graham's Fillmore Records which operated directly across the street from Graham's Fillmore West ballroom in San Francisco. The label was distributed by CBS Records and released singles and LP's from such acts as The Grateful Dead and Elvin Bishop between 1969 and 1972. The archive consists of correspondence between CBS Records and Graham's attorney concerning the trademark registration together with original color proofs of the label as it was to appear on records. The collection, housed in an official Fillmore Records folder also includes biographical material and photographs for The Elvin Bishop Group (which included a young Steve Miller), as well as the group Aum featuring Wayne "The Harp". Together, approximately six photographs as well as 20 pages of correspondence, photocopies and biographical material. Overall in very good to fine condition.
