[ Autographs ] WORLD WAR I GERMAN AVIATOR DOGFIGHT REPORT A fine World War I German airman's report of a dogfight with a British flyer a true copy of the report submitted by flyer "Oppel, NCO and Pilot", 1p. oblong 8vo., [n.p.], Jan. 4, 1918, in part: "...At an altitude of 3,800 meters...I witnessed how Vice Sergeant Schulz, flying approximately 400 meters to my left and above me, attacked an English Sopwith which was leading a group of three...the aircraft banked to the left and went into a vertical dive. The crash site...must have been located in the vicinity of Moorsleede..." With the signature of the lieutenant who led the squadron. Very good.
