Description:

"SITTING BULL AND HIS FAVORITE SQUAW WITH OFFICERS AND THEIR LADIES"
A stereoview scene from Fort Randall, published by W. R. Cross on his Niobrara, Neb. cabinet card. Although the photograph is credited to Cross, it may be a Stanley Morrow view, just as some of the Bailey, Dix & Mead photographs are thought to be his. Also photographing scenes of Sitting Bull at Fort Randall was A.J. Johnson, so one or more of the famous series could be Johnson's work. A rarity, but shows soiling and age mellowing, some corner and edge rubbing, and one pinhole in upper center. Priced accordingly.
