Lot 1322
1322. WORLD WAR II GERMAN GUNNER'S WORKBOOK A paperbound notebook, approx 120pp. of which approx. sixty are filled with notes and drawings made by whom we believe was a German sailor or possibly coastal defense gunner attached as a crewman manning a formidable 15cm. S.K. C28 cannon. The books are not translated, but the gun is mentioned throughout. Of much interest silhouette drawing of British, French and German aircraft and warships, meant to guide the gunner in determining whether a target was friend or foe. All types of views are shown: wing designs, frontal views, smokestack arrangements, engine placement, fuselage design, etc. with examples of the ME 109, Wellington, JU 87, Hudson, He 111 and various cruisers and destroyers shown. Very good, worthy of translation. $200-300
