Combs in Capt. John T. Wingfield's Co. to go to Washington, Georgia, for a furlough and thereafter rejoin his regiment at Petersburg. Approved by Pendleton on verso, as well as by WALTER H. TAYLOR (1838-1916) Virginia soldier, lawyer, and politician who fought as an officer with the Confederacy, rising to Robert E. Lee's aide-de-camp. Mounting remains to left edge, expected soiling and wear and signatures a bit faint, Pendleton's attacked with a blue pen by an addled vandal, else good condition.
