WILLIAM MCKINLEY
T.L.S. on personal letterhead, 1p., 8vo., Canton, July 6, 1896, a letter requesting a favor from the Massachusetts politician Patrick Collins, then serving President Garfield as Consul-General in London. McKinley, writing on behalf of friends visiting London, asks Collins to look after a friend. In part: "...I feel assured that you will do all in your power to assist him and extend all courtesies possible...". Boldly signed, "W McKinley" with a particularly large flourish. Minor folds and light soiling at mid-page, none affecting signature. Lot includes holographic transmittal cover.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
