WEST POINT JACKET OF MAJOR GEN. JAMES H. WALSH
The West Point uniform jacket of Cadet and later major general JAMES H. WALSH, all buttons and stitching present and in good condition, his name written on the label within, and dated by him "9/7/32". Very good. Major General JAMES H. WALSH (1911-2000) commanded the 97th Bomb Group in England and in February, 1943 was named operations officer of the 47th Bomb Wing in North Africa. A year later, he returned to the States to direct operations and training of the Third Air Force. Post-war, he commanded SAC's 7th Air Division and became SAC Chief of Staff in 1961. From the personal collection of World War II and Civil War historian Michael Miner. Miner's thirty-year collection was built through an extensive system of contacts he developed with artifact hunters and diggers in Europe and the Far East, and he maintained careful records of the items he amassed.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
