Lot of three Union soldier's letters, each on great period letterhead, includes: A.L.S. with letterhead of a printed red-and-blue handshake over a copy of the Constitution, 4pp. 8vo., Fort Pulaski, GA, May 3, 1863, a letter from Union soldier G. T. Conklin to Miss Emma, in part:"...war news is all stail we do not hear any news from Charleston...think Emma Dear of those poor soldiers that have been away from home for twenty months and have not seen any of those friends we left behind...how sad it makes me feel...probaly never will see them again...Some of us may kiss the Sod before going home and I mite be the first..." WITH: A.L.S. with letterhead titled"THE TREE OF LIBERTY," an illustrated tree with dozens of U.S. flags as its leaves, 4pp. 8vo.,"Camp Juelson[?], New Berne, N.C.", Jan. 19, 1865, a letter from Albert T. Conklin, likely Co. L, NY 12th Cavalry, to his little sister, in part:"...to tell when I shall go home is more than I can do...we are out every other night on picket...by the looks of the papers that we will all be discharged within one year..." WITH: A.L.S. with letterhead bearing two full-color gravures, one of an eagle atop a tri-color shield and one of the U.S. Treasury building in Washington D.C., printed by Magnus, 3pp. 8vo.,"Headquarters", Oct. 10, 1861, a letter from A.R. See, Co. K, 24th NY Regiment, to a Miss Mary, possibly a suitor, in part:"...Capt. Barney and four of his company were ordered out scouting last Tuesday morning...brought one Rebel, five horses and shot three of the Rebels besides..." Very good overall.
