Description:

407. UNION PATRIOTIC COCKADE A wonderful war-date Union patriotic cockade that was proudly worn by a Massachusetts woman, finely embroidered in red, white and blue silk lace, measuring 2 1/2" in diameter, with a small woman's brass dress button attached in the center. Also, included are a war-date, ca. 1862, 1" x 3/4" gem style tintype of Mrs. Garrette that is attached to a larger cardboard mount and manuscript ink drawn map of central Boston showing the commons and surrounding streets. One silk ribbon (white) is detached, but present, else very good. $250-350
