Good lot of three items singed by notable U.S. Navy figures, includes: GEORGE BANCROFT (1800-1891) Secretary of the Navy from 1845-1846, during which time he established the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis. A.L.S., 3pp. 4to., Boston, Oct. 8, 1842, to attorney William Dwight, regarding the payment of debts and a business deal in Detroit. he signs at the conclusion in black ink. The final page shows an approx. 1" square paper loss, affecting just the very end of the "T" in his signature, with original mailing folds, else very good. WITH: CHARLES E. ROSENDAHL (1892-1977) U.S. Navy admiral who advocated for the use of rigid airships and commanded the cruiser USS MINNEAPOLIS during World War II. A.L.S., 2pp. 8vo., Lakehurst Naval Air Station, April 23, 1931, to Helem Bindle, providing a sample of his handwriting for analysis. He signs at the conclusion in black ink, adding his rank "Lieut-Cmdr. U.S.N." Shows a paper clip mark and pinhole at top left, else very good. Miss Bindle's typed analysis, 1p. 4to., is also present. WITH: CASPAR F. GOODRICH (1847-1925) U.S. Navy rear admiral who served during the Spanish-American War. T.L.S. as president of the Manufacturing Investment Co., 1p. 8vo., Madison, Maine, Sep. 22, 1891, to the Indian Spring Woolen Co., inquiring as to whether an agreement between the two companies has been fulfilled. He signs at the conclusion in black ink. Shows a pencil identifying inscription, else very good. Three pieces.

International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
