644. PAUL TIBBETS (d. 2008) American bomber pilot of the Enola Gay which delivered the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, August 6, 1945. A really neat item, a model of the "Little Boy" atomic bomb which Tibbets dropped on Hiroshima, with wood base and descriptive plaque boldly signed on each side in silver ink by Tibbets and Enola Gay navigator THEODORE "DUTCH" VAN KIRK. The blue replica of the bomb measures about 10 1/2" long and is in turn set atop a 17" x 6" ebony-colored wood base. A descriptive plaque is included. This item is in fine condition. $400 - 500
