L.S. "Chas Thomson" 1p. legal folio, "Office of the Secretary of State" [New York], Aug. 3, 1785 to the Governor of Georgia noting the enclosure of "...my letter of the 28 July which accompanied an Act of the United States in Congress assembled passed of the 27th., and to which I hope to be honored with an answer as soon as convenient. I embrace the present opportunity of forwarding two Copies of the Continuation of the Journal of Congress to the 29 July, one for the Legislature and the other for the Executive branch of Government..." Usual folds, light toning at top, else very good.
