"THE WRECK OF THE ATLANTIC"
Lithograph print "The Wreck of the Atlantic", 13 1/2" x 10 5/8" (sight), a Currier & Ives engraving of the White Star line steamship Atlantic foundering off Halifax with hundreds of people on board; groups of rescue workers on rocks are pulling people out of the water from the crashing waves, as others are holding a long rope extending from the ship and secured to a rock for passengers to use as a way to escape the vessel. Fairly uniformly toned with two damp stains in blank margins, set into an antique frame. On Apr. 1, 1873 the Atlantic went down off of Nova Scotia taking 562 people to their deaths.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas), DHL or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
