SUN YAT-SEN
(1866-1925) Chinese Revolutionary and first President of the People's Republic of China, often referred to as "The Father of the Nation". Excessively rare D.S. 1p. lg. 8vo. (6" x 9"), "July 9th, in the 11th year of the Republic of China ", an order to borrow funds to appoint Sun Chi Hing, as a member of the Rate Raising Committee, signed at middle. From a relative of the appointee. Backed on thin sheet for preservation, as paper is quite fragile, bearing splits and some small holes, but overall quite good condition, with a fine bold signature. Auction records indicate only eight examples of Yat-sen's signature sold in the past 20+ years, as cited by ABPC.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
