SUN YAT-SEN
(1866-1925) Chinese Revolutionary and first President of the People's Republic of China, often referred to as "The Father of the Nation". Exceedingly rare D.S. 1p. folio (20" x 16 1/2") on thin stock bearing red "chops" and an ornate border, "November 15th, in the 6th year of the Republic of China" (1918), an appointment of Sun Kwong Ming to be a member of the Rate Raising Committee of Hong Kong by the Grand Marshal of the Army and the Navy of the Republic of China. Originating from a family member of the appointee, Sun Kwong Ming. Mounted for preservation, with a few small tears, and evidence of slight wear at edges. Possibly trimmed at left edge, still overall very good. Sun Yat-sen is rare in any form, and only eight examples have sold at auction in the last 20+ years as cited in ABPC.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
