I have an order from a Gent in Richmond to get him 10 Bales sheeting & shirting and 5 osnaburgs Osnaburg was an inexpensive, simple woven beige cloth widely used to clothe slaves. A 4in x 2in sample of the cloth is stitched to the letter. Certainly a rare item.
