SANDRA GOOD
(b. 1944) Long-time member of the Manson Family and a close friend of Lynette ‘Squeaky' Fromme. Good was in jail with Mary Brunner for attempting to use stolen credit cards when the Tate-LaBianca murders took place but was arrested at Spahn Ranch during the August 16th raid. In 1975 Good was sentenced to 15 years for sending death threats and was paroled in 1985. Two T.Ls.S. each signed with her ‘Family' name ‘Blue', the first 4pp. 4to., Long Beach, June ?, 1976, to Charles Manson, in part: ‘…I got the two photos yesterday…Please send more pictures of yourself and often…In the past two weeks or so I've sent you copies of your ULEP words – do you want more copies?...The other evening I had a light conversation with Sidney and I wanted to have a nice quiet restful evening. The music starting blaring from two rooms down. The girls knows I don't like it cause I've nicely explained to her about it. So I got my tape – Ravi Shankar and the London Philharmonic orchestra playing together and I blared it from my room. Then I came out of my room and just stood by the door…I got the blue scorpion doll…No one said anything about the doll…After everyone went to dinner I touched about 3 doors with the doll. And my thought was THERE will be respect in this cottage…Only human is on my left Neisha and don't ever even ask the bitches to turn down their music…she is so passive about B.S. I guess it just don't bother her like it does me…Someone wrote on my note ‘Fuck you blue'...I had a dream about gold [Nancy Pitman] she was reading books. I was jealous cause she could read so fast….I also dreamed about Pat getting out of Max security and I was nervous and we walked around…Wes is unreal…His letters make me mad. Im telling bruce not to hold Sadie up to me cause even though I respect her for all she did back then, she was never the kind of woman I'd look up to. And how she was dirty, slovenly and sexually ‘promiscuous' didn't mean we all were at the ranch and how in her low opinion of her self she couldn't face that when alone so she had to pick up nicey nice Christian face to feel she is a good upright woman…Ima getting this in the mail now…'. With holograph emendations and the original transmittal cover. SOLD WITH: a second T.L.S. ‘Blue' 1p. 4to., Feb. 15, [n.y.], to an unnamed recipient, saying that she got a great picture of ‘Bucky' and adding: ‘I heard a talk by Ram Dass last night…I have heard you, Red [Lynette Fromme], Charlie and Leary put down Ram Dass, but I never really understood what you didn't like about him. He seems wise, loving, and sincere enough…Enclosed are some cartoons ava sent me…'. Very good.
