Description:

RUDOLF VIRCHOW
(1821 - 1902) German pathologist and anthropologist, the founder of cellular pathology and a researcher of blood, tuberculosis, rickets, tumors, and so on. Rare A.L.S. in German, 2pp. sm. 8vo., Berlin, Apr. 14, 1899, to a colleague regarding a medical article. In part: "...You seem to not have understood…The copies which have been sent to you were taken from a newspaper page. They have been duplicated...from your original diagrams…If you don't like the copy, a new original sketch will have to be made most accurate and it must be sent…Incidentally, I call your attention to the fact that you perhaps did not know…the format of the Berlin newspaper…Since I am leaving on a journey tonight and will return only on the 30th, I ask that you arrange the mailing of your answer at such a time, that it will reach me in Berlin...". Very good to fine.
