Description:

Roman Glass Vial An intact ancient Roman glass vial which was typically used to hold perfume. These vessels were used throughout the Roman Empire, and this example measures about 5in tall and more than 1.5in across it's bulbous bottom. Excavated near Jerusalem, the vial dates from about 200 A.D., the time of the Second Jewish Revolt and Emperor's Hadrian's persecution of the early Christians. A fine item for display, with stand.
