Description:

Roman Amulet with Animal Motif A small bronze Greco-Roman amulet, about 1.5in long, shaped in what appears to be the head of an elephant with downcast trunk. This piece may have had some religious value, or may have simply been worn for decoration. Excavated in the lower Danube, it still retains its original green patina. Most unusual.
