ROBERT HEINRICH WAGNER
(1895 – 1946) "The Butcher of Alsace", Gauleiter of Baden, and a close friend of Hitler. Wagner also took part in the Beer Hall Putsch and was also jailed at Landsburg. Wagner was given a free hand to govern like no other Gauleiter. He took part in many trials dictating death sentences. Of the 4,464 Jews sent to the Gurs concentration camp in France, only some 800 survived. Tried, convicted and sentenced to death at war's end. S.P. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" b/w, a chest, up pose in uniform signed at bottom, with a letter of transmittal signed by a secretary, Baden, Aug. 18, 1936 and transmittal envelope with his official handstamp. Three pieces.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
