1816. RELIC OF ST. LUKE An interesting relic of St. Luke, author of the 4th Book of the Christian Gospels, and one of Jesus' twelve disciples, housed in a 1" oval silver case with threads and red Vatican seal intact on verso. Accompanied by a 1p. oblong 4to. document of authenticity issued by Archbishop Cardinal Joseph Spina, Vicar General of the Vatican, Rome, Aug. 30, 1864, bearing the red wax Vatican seal. Document bears some foldtears and soiling, otherwise very good condition. Bidders should note that we are selling the document only, with relic described as a gift along with it. $200-300
