I have heard Charlie's talking about him so much I felt as if I also had lost a good friend. And I am sure Charlie has for Mr. Hallowell has [sic] proved a splendid friend to him. It must have...proved a great blow to you. But you must have courage to face this great affliction...Mr. Hallowell passing away so Suddenly spared him the great misery of a Sick bed...".
