1560. FRANCIS POULENC (1899 - 1963) French composer and a member of "Les Six", his songs are considered among the best of this century. Fine and scarce A.M.Q.S on the verso of a mildly risqué postcard showing a bathing beauty disrobing near a cliff on the beach, while a sailor peers at her from the cliff above. On verso, Poulenc pens a two measure quote from Maries de la Tour Eiffel, a farcical ballet with a libretto by Jean Cocteau, written by Poulenc in collaboration with other composers of the group "Les Six". Penned in bright blue ink, and in near fine condition. $600 - 800
