Description:

PANZER IV AUXILIARY BRAKE WALL DIAGRAM
Fine Third Reich wall chart, 32 1/2" x 49", printed in full color on linen-backed paper, an intricately-detailed schematic depicting the auxiliary braking system of a Panzer IV medium tank, the most widely-manufactured German tank of World War II. The chart is titled "Pz. Kpfw. IV (Sd. Kfz. 161) Ausfuhrung A bis D", indicating the first variants armed with the short-barreled 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun. The subtitles indicates the mechanisms shown in the schematic. The diagram is exhaustively labeled, and was most probably used to train crews and mechanics. It bears warning label indicating that the chart is "For Service Use Only", and is dated 1940 at bottom right, with a publishing line at bottom left indicating release by the "Oberkommando des Heeres" ("High Command of the Army"), or OKH. Shows interior creases and minor soiling, else very good, with some separation from the upper spreader, else very good.
