(1871 - 1948) American inventor and a pioneer of flight, Wright, with his brother Wilbur, made the first successful flight of a motor-driven airplane. Partly-printed D.S. 1p. 12mo., Dayton, Apr. 27, 1917, a check drawn on The Winters National Bank, ordering a $200.00 payment to the Dayton Amusement Building. Boldly signed. Punch cancels slightly brush two letters of signature, a small slit to top margin, otherwise very good condition.
