OLDS (1864-1950) American automobile inventor and manufacturer, founder of the Olds Motor Works which in its manufacture of the Oldsmobile, made the first commercially successful American automobile. D.S. "R E Olds", 1p. folio, Jan. 10, 1916, a beautiful olive and black stock certificate for 25 shares in the Reo Motor Car Company, signed by Olds as President. As is often the case with these certificates, the punch cancel effects the "E" in his signature. A scarce signed stock from one of the giants of the automotive industry. Fine. $400-600
