Description:

NUREMBERG WAR CRIMES TRIALS, 'HIGH COMMAND' CASE NO. 12 COURT PROGRAM
Rare program given to those attending the Allied Military Tribunals, Case No. 12, 28pp. 4to., Nuremberg, ca. 1947-48, as issued by the Public Relations Office, Office of the Chief Counsel. The text of the program sets forth the indictment levied against the defendants, as set forth by Brig. Gen. and Chief of Counsel for War Crimes, TELFORD TAYLOR on Nov. 28, 1947. In the middle of the text appears a seating diagram of the courtroom, including the location of the tribunal, defendants, prosecution, defense, and other attendees. Very good. Allied Military Tribunal Case No. 12, also known as The High Command Case (United States of America v. Wilhelm von Leeb et al.), was a Subsequent Nuremberg Trial held from December 1947 to October 1948. It prosecuted 14 high-ranking German military leaders for crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Eleven defendants were found guilty of war crimes and/or crimes against humanity, with sentences ranging from three years (time served) to life imprisonment (awarded to Hermann Reinecke and Walter Warlimont).
