A.L.S., 1p. 8vo., 'Palace of Justice', May 2, 1946, to 'Commanding Officer I.S.D.' In part: '...I was transferred to Nuremberg from the Civ. Int. Camp No. 6...During the searching after my arrival a pocket watch, pocket mirror, a fountain pen, a pipe cleaner and some money...were taken away. Yesterday I received a statement of inventory which certified correctly the personal property but the remarked funds...were wrong...I should be very grateful sir if you would clear this matter...' Lightly toned, else fine condition. Civilian internment camps, like the one Kollmann was kept at, were set up by the Allies at the end of the war to hold German men and women suspected of criminal activity or affiliation with the Nazi regime.
