Lot 1130
1130. NEW YORK RANGERS BENCH A superb relic for any true Rangers fan, an original wooden bench from Madison Square Garden, used by members of the New York Rangers from 1968-1998. Painted gray with a matching gray carpet top, the bench measures 46" long, 18" tall and 13" deep and was used at Madison Square Garden by the team. A plaque has been placed on one side that reads: "This wooden players' bench was used by the New York Rangers and their opponents during National Hockey League games at Madison Square Garden". Thus this bench was used during the curse-ending championship season of 1993-1994 in which they won the Stanley Cup after a 43 year drought. Obtained by us from Stars Memorabilia, Aspen, Co. who were also under bidders on "The Card", the famous Honus Wagner baseball card once owned by Wayne Gretzky and now valued at well over $2,000,000. The bench bears a great deal of wear, typical to one used by hockey players, but is overall still a very solid piece! Purchaser will need to make all shipping arrangements for this oversize piece. $1,200 - 1,500
