One reporter stands near a wagon painted "N. Y. H. HEADQUARTERS", while the second is in the foreground, dressed in hip boots and a long coat with cap in hand. Beside him an African-American assistant holds his horse, a second stands before two tents pitched near the wagon. The photo comes from the archive of Capt. Andrew J.
