A fine collection of five pieces by prominent naval officers and officials, includes: WINFIELD SCOTT SCHLEY, an A.L.S. 1p. 8vo., Washington, Apr. 14, 1901, letting his correspondent know that he is not going to get involved with a political movement, as well as a partly-printed D.S. 1p. 4to., Washington, Mar. 26, 1885, on Navy Department letterhead transmitting a report about John Rogers who served on the USS Muscoota; GEORGE DEWEY, T.L.S. on Navy Department letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, Dec. 17, 1909, conveys information about how his recipient may obtain a photo; SAMUEL P. LEE, A.L.S. 1p. 8vo., June 15, 1866, sending thanks; and SIR GEORGE FRANCIS SEYMOUR, A.L.S. 4pp. 8vo., Eaton Square, Dec. 23, 1850, sending social news and adding: "...I wished for the Mediterranean Command that I was ready to serve...the Queen has approved of me...". Very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
