Schuyler " in Albany including "100 Shovels, 100 Spades 62 Picks" all delivered by Martin Sheeler, "Waggoner " as well as "24 Spades, 127 Shovells, and 93 Picks " delivered by George Shrader. These tools would likely figure prominently later that year when Gates' army would build fortifications at Saratoga in preparation to block Burgoyne's advance on Albany.
