MICHAEL HILLEGAS
(1724 - 1804) First Treasurer of the Continental Congress, at times sharing the position with George Clymer. After 1777, Hillegas continued as sole Treasurer of the United States and held that position throughout the remainder of the American Revolution, using his own fortune to support the cause. A.D.S. "M. Hillegas" 1p. 4to., Philadelphia, Mar. 16, 1802, legalizing the debt owed to a Dr. Sebastian Kunckler in the amount of One Pound, Six Shillings and Three Pence "...justly due to him from the State of George Roberts, late of the said City Tin plate worker deceased...". Light staining to edges, else boldly signed and in very good condition.

Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
