MARTIN BORMANN
(1900 - 1945) Head of the Nazi Party Chancellery and private secretary to Adolf Hitler, by the end of World War II Bormann had become second only to Hitler himself in terms of real political power. Fine association and content T.L.S. on NSDAP letterhead, 1p. 4to., Munich Nov. 3, 1937, to JULIUS SCHAUB (1898-1967), Hitler's chief personal adjutant. Bormann writes inquiring if Schaub has received a complaint from the National Socialist Women's Organization and attacking Robert Ley, in part: '...In a letter to the leader of Women of the Reich, Mrs. Scholtz- Klink, the Leader of the Reich organization says that he must turn to the Fuhrer with a complaint. I would be grateful to you, if you would let me know whether you have received such a complaint from Party Member and Reich Leader Dr. Ley about Mrs. Scholtz-Klink. Even now I notice that Dr. Ley's reproaches are totally lacking in substance...' File holes at margin and a few stray marks, else very good.
