Description:

MARTIN BORMANN
(1900 - 1945) Head of the Nazi Party Chancellery and private secretary to Adolf Hitler, by the end of World War II Bormann had become second only to Hitler himself in terms of real political power. BORMANN ACCUSES A STATE JUDGE OF 'HOMOSEXUALITY' Fine content and association T.L.S., 2pp. 4to., Berlin, Sep. 6, 1941 to Reichsfuhrer-SS HEINRICH HIMMLER making an accusation of homosexuality against a State Judge - a charge that if proven would surely elicit the death penalty. In part: '...Gauleiter Telschow indicates to me that State Judge Gravenhorst has a tendency to homosexuality. His theory is that Gravenhorst does not (both past and present time) fraternize with women at all. But, on the other hand, he has very close friendships with men, particularly two men, namely, Moldenhauer and Rosenhagen, both of whom have recently been convicted of homosexuality. Reichsleiter Buch believes that the accusation against Gravenhorst is without any validity and does not want to talk about the matter at all. Since Gravenhorst is also an SS leader, I believe it is really necessary that you see to it that this accusation is investigated. Gauleiter Telschow should be able to present you with some evidence on the basis of his accusation against Gravenhorst...' OTTO TELSCHOW (1876-1945) was the Gauleiter of Eastern Hannover from 1925 to 1945, founded the weekly Nazi newspaper Niedersachsen-Sturmer, and often gave speeches against Jews, Freemasons and Communists. He was later elected to the Reichstag. Committed suicide at war's end by slashing his wrists and ingesting poison shortly after his capture. The fates of Gravenhorst and his alleged associates is unknown. File holes at left margin, very good. With translation.
