LOUIS XIV
(1638 - 1715) "The Sun King", King of France who undertook a series of wars with neighboring countries, yet is most remembered for impoverishing of the masses as he reigned at the height of France's "Golden Age". Fine manuscript D.S. 1p. tall folio, Versailles, Feb. 6, 1685, not translated but regarding the Baron d'Aliz. Boldly signed at conclusion with Louis' typical oversize signature. Tape repair at central fold, light staining to top margin, a bit of foxing and general wear, still very good.

Shipping

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
