Longstreet has been accused of delaying his attack at Gettysburg, leading to the Confederate defeat there. Good content A.E.S. on the face of a document, 1p. 8vo., Louisiana, Jan. 25, 1872, his approval of payment of $225.00 in wages to his aide, John B. Howard (who also signs), endorsed in the margin: "Appd. James Longstreet Adj. Gen". Matted with a reproduction photo, very good. $400- 500
